The second step in the application process is to apply through the school's application form. The application portal opens in December 2024 for applications for the 2023/2024 school year.
The application fee is 820 CZK (approx. 330 NOK). You can find the application by clicking on the link below.
For å søke medisinstudiet ved Charles University, Third Faculty of Medicine må du levere skolesøknad og avlegge opptaksprøve. Påmelding til opptaksprøven og skolesøknaden gjøres separat. Opptaksprøven for skoleåret 2024/2025 vil bli avholdt som hjemmeeksamen våren 2024.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
You would need a high school diploma. As well we strongly recomend to have had all the science subjects in high school or taken afterwards. High knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics is essential to pass the entrance exam and as well to pass the first year of medicine.

APPLICATION PROCESS
You must register for the entrance exam and apply through Charles University, Third Faculty of Medicine's own application portal. The application deadline is 30 April 2024.
When you have completed the entrance exam, you will receive an answer immediately after the exam is over whether you have passed or not.
What happens next after passing the entrance exam?
After passing the entrance exam, you will only need to relate directly to the University. Study in Prague has no insight into the process after this point and it will be communicated from the university to you directly.

THE ENTRANCE EXAM
The entrance exam consists of two parts, both of which are held in English- One written and one oral part:

The first part of the entrance exam consists of a 2.5 hour written exam in chemistry, physics and biology. The test is a "multiple choice test". One or more answers may be correct.

The second part of the entrance exam is a kind of oral exam / interview where you will read an article in English that usually has a scientific message. Then you will retell / discuss the content with one of the professors. This is a short part of part two which is followed by some informal talk about why you want to study medicine in Prague, your motivation etc.

The entrance exam for the school year 2024/2025 is scheduled to be held online on 1st of June 2024. The examination form and syllabus will remain the same as in previous years.
